Living Legacy
A community pillar working to elevate vulnerable youth and area residents by providing opportunities for personal development and fellowship. Living Legacy and TheREC are committed to the welfare of the community and are engaging the community, specifically the youth, using healthy prevention strategies while providing a “safe-space” for those that need one. The space was once the Andrew Jackson School and is now known as the West Luray Recreation Center, fondly called TheREC.

#BetterTogether
Over the weekend we received a call from the Logistics Coordinator of Virginia, who said while working the emergency fire efforts in the valley, they’d ordered surpluses of food & needed the excess food given to families in need & heard our organization do it! There are people that may never see your face or hear your name, however, they’ll know of your works! Grateful to be able to serve & also to be known as an organization that gives back within our community!

Thank you to everyone for coming to Dr’s & those from all over who supported today! Continuing instead of canceling our fundraiser was a bottom of the 9th call, but I’m so glad we used it not only to assist our organization but also these heroes who put their lives on the line daily, this week in particular! Our bake sale raised $2,800 & $1,500 will be given to Luray Fire Department, Stanley Volunteer Fire & Shenandoah Fire! ... See MoreSee Less
