Living Legacy
A community pillar working to elevate vulnerable youth and area residents by providing opportunities for personal development and fellowship. Living Legacy and TheREC are committed to the welfare of the community and are engaging the community, specifically the youth, using healthy prevention strategies while providing a “safe-space” for those that need one. The space was once the Andrew Jackson School and is now known as the West Luray Recreation Center, fondly called TheREC.

For those asking, “what is a cake walk?”
A cake walk fundraiser is when people donate for the chance to win a cake. Each cake is numbered, corresponding to a number on the ground. Participants walk around to music, and when the music stops, a number is drawn, and if it’s their number, they receive the cake that aligns with the number they're standing on.
April 13 @ 2PM
$.50 per walk or 3 for $1
Cake donations are being accepted. Message us directly to sign up!
